Representation of Duck Shooting on the Potomac

A very fine and authentic view of the use of a hunting ducks on the east coast in the mid 19th century. Published in Gleason's Pictorial in 1853. The article describes hunting waterfowl on the Potomac River, and in particular describes the Potomac Duck Gun and how it was used. The dimensions of the engraving is approx. 9.50 X 6.75" and the dimensions of the entire uncut page is approx. 15 X 11".This is not a modern reproduction or reprint. It is a 150 year old woodcut engraving and article, in very good condition and guaranteed to be as described.
