"Hyacinth." It is in excellent condition and shows a finely drawn hyacinth stalk and blossom with a spotted moth next to it. An exquisite and authentic old print! This print was published in an American literary and arts publication in the 1847. The print is not signed but similar prints of the same style from the same original publication were engraved by C. Tiebout from original drawings by P.I. Redoute. I believe this was drawn by the same artist. Dimensions of the print area are, minus margins, approx. 8.50 by 5.25 inches, and the overall size is approx. 10 by 6.25 inches. There is a white margin around the print with the title beneath. It is printed on a heavy stock paper, blank on the reverse side. This is not a modern reproduction or reprint. It is 155 year old high quality steel engraving and guaranteed to be as described.
