"Milanese Costume."

Engraved by H. Austin from an original work by English artist K. Meadows. It is in excellent condition and shows a lovely young woman from the city of Milan, Italy in a particularly attractive dress with huge sleeves, a double chemise, and wearing a feathered tiara, evidently a typical formal outfit for the tregion in the early 19th century. This was published in an undated 19th century book titled "Beauty's Costume".  I do not have an exact date, anywhere from the 1850's to the 1880's, but it is an authentic vintage print. Dimensions of the print area are, minus margins, approx. 5 by 7 inches, and the overall size is approx. 8.25 by 11 inches. The print has been cleaned and is free of age toning and foxing spots. This is not a modern reproduction or reprint. It is a very old steel engraving, in excellent condition and guaranteed to be as described
